Join Americans across the country in our fight to protect hemp access.
On November 12, 2025, Congress passed a government funding bill that included unexpected federal hemp restrictions. These restrictions will take effect after a 365-day implementation period, banning many hemp-derived products that Americans have safely used since the 2018 Farm Bill.
These changes would shut down thousands of compliant small businesses, eliminate hundreds of thousands of jobs, harm U.S. farmers, and push people toward unregulated or foreign markets, even though safe, regulated products already exist today.
We support responsible federal regulation, online age gates, lab testing, clear labeling, but a national ban is not the right path. Congress should use the 365-day implementation period to fix this.
At Canna Dos, we support reasonable regulation.
We believe hemp and cannabis should be treated more like alcohol: age-restricted, clearly labeled, lab-tested, and sold by accountable businesses.
-
Clear, honest labeling of cannabinoids and potency.
Clear labels tell you exactly which cannabinoids are inside, how strong each serving is, and let adults dose hemp products with confidence.
-
21+ online age gates for intoxicating products.
Age gates keep intoxicating hemp products in adult hands, using simple 21 plus checks so minors are blocked before they ever reach the cart.
-
Organic hemp grown by small U.S. farmers.
Organic, U.S. grown hemp supports small farmers, keeps dollars in local communities, and gives adults cleaner products they can trust.
-
Mandatory third-party lab testing and batch COAs.
Independent lab testing and batch COAs verify potency, catch contamination early, and give adults proof that a hemp product is actually safe.
We do not support outright prohibition
What we do not support is a blanket federal ban that destroys compliant businesses, harms farmers, and removes safe, regulated options from adults who have come to rely on them. Congress and the Administration should use the 365-day implementation period to replace this broad ban with common-sense regulation.
Why does this matter?
Congress still has 365 days to fix this before the ban takes full effect.
An overwhelming share of U.S. adults (88%) say marijuana should be legal for medical or recreational use. Like many Americans, we support a modern, consistent approach to cannabis regulation. Treating THC similarly to alcohol, age-restricted, lab-tested, clearly labeled, and responsibly regulated, protects consumers, supports American agriculture, and ensures a level playing field for hemp and adult-use cannabis.
-
The 2018 Farm Bill opened a legal & regulated hemp market that supports American farmers and small businesses.
The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp nationwide and sparked a multibillion dollar U.S. hemp market, creating jobs for farmers, processors, and local shops. Protecting hemp access means protecting those American livelihoods and keeping this legal, regulated market in place.
-
The new federal restrictions would shut down majority of that market and erase years of work overnight.
Sweeping federal THC caps and new definitions would instantly knock most current hemp THC products off the shelf, even in states with strong rules already. That kind of overnight change would wipe out small brands and retailers that invested in compliance instead of chasing the gray market.
-
Adults, seniors, and veterans rely on hemp products for pain relief, sleep, mood, and day to day quality of life.
From CBD oils to hemp THC gummies, millions of adults now use hemp products to sleep better, ease pain, and manage stress. Seniors and veterans especially report turning to hemp when traditional options fail them, so cutting off access hits the most vulnerable groups first.
-
A ban will not make demand disappear, it will just push people toward unregulated or foreign products.
If legal hemp options vanish, demand does not disappear, it moves underground. A federal hemp ban would push people toward untested, foreign, or black market products, increasing the risk of contamination and making it harder for everyone to tell what is actually safe.

Subject: Please Fix the Federal Hemp Restrictions
Dear Representative/Senator,
I’m writing as your constituent to ask Congress to fix the federal hemp restrictions included in the November 12 government funding bill. The law includes a 365-day implementation period, and I urge Congress to use that time to correct this.
- Shut down thousands of compliant small businesses
- Eliminate hundreds of thousands of American jobs
- Harm farmers who invested in legal hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill
- Push consumers toward unsafe, unregulated markets
The hemp industry supports:
- 21+ age limits
- Mandatory third-party lab testing
- Clear labeling
- Child-resistant packaging
These measures protect consumers without destroying an American industry. Please support a fix during the implementation period.
Thank you,
